tayo sa sat...
I was just passing through, so I figured I'd leave my mark. Nice place you have here. I love the colors...
at work, i usually put on my headphones and listen to j-pop (okay, only those who sang anime theme songs. i'm a Patty-clone. but _only_ on that aspect. lolz~) while processing e-mails. by doing this, i'm more concentrated on the work at hand. with that, i am effectively shutting myself off with teh rest of the people. the disadvantage though is that i usually miss out on the gossip/things going on around me. i'm usually the last person to know that this person is going out with this person, or he/she is already resigning or had submitted his/her resignation, or he/she had been served an indefinite suspension. it's not that i don't care about them or the "current events", i just want to concentrate on my work and get done with it in an efficient manner. one thing i hate is doing a half-assed work and tons of excuses.
going along those lines, i totally feel that because of this work ethic of mine, my social skills have kinda deteriorated, to the point that i don't know 75% of the peeps on my account! sure i've assisted most of them on the floor when they were starting out, but that's it. some would say that i'm being indifferent or apathetic, but that's just them talking. those who know me _really_ well will tell you that i'm just an introvert. (or sometimes pseudo-introvert) while maintaining this status has it's advantages for me, there is also a downside on some areas. i'd rather not discuss it here, lest you want to be depressed. don't worry though, i still know how to interact with people.
